Stephen and Kathryn are he directors of the specialist law fin Certus Law which specialises in Estates, Super and Trusts. They believe that the only way to provide a service is not to be distracted by general law. Hence they practise as specialists in this area.
They advise on complex estates where clients have business interests, family trusts, self-managed super – Kathryn has recently completed a plan for a $100m estate and is a trustee for estates where there are minor children. Stephen has just completed 2 estates at $40m each and has also started a family office for one of these families.
Kathryn and Stephen design estate lab to provide protection for the estate assets as well as minimising tax. In addition, they have considerable experience in dealing with second and blended families.
Stephen has a regular column in B2B as well as well as a regular speaker at conferences on Estates and Super having spoken at the TV education estate conference earlier this year and will be speaking at the Institute of Chartered Accountants Conference next week on Tax and Self-Managed Super. He is also an accredited specialist with the Self-Managed Super Professionals Association and an Associate of the Tax Institute of Australia.
